CATHERINE ALSTON (COSTUME DESIGNER) has served as costume designer for all of the Saints & Poets Productions productions thus far and she’s not quite sure how that happened. She also acts as puppet consultant, expert sandwich maker and all-around problem solver. Catherine has worked as costume designer for the Brown Ledge Theatre for over a decade. She would like to thank Dr. Alston, who is fortunately too busy to be concerned about the crocodile in the living room.

TONYA CARDOSO (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER)...was once a silly child / who it seems has grown up / yet, magic and poetry / still enter her dreams / and she relishes in the pickle / of knowing / nothing is always quite what it seems / now, having a tot-son of her own / awing at his imagination with her hearts eye / she does take mustard in the semordnilap fact- / that 'pan' spelled backwards is 'nap'... (sigh) / and as for growing old- / oh, she has no desire to ketchup!

KEVIN CHRISTOPHER (PRODUCER/PUPPETEER/PUPPET DESIGNER) directed and designed puppets for Saints & Poets’ inaugural production of The Rocky Horror (Puppet) Show, played a fat pig in their follow-up, Charlotte’s Web, and designed and manipulated puppets for The Pillowman. A native of West Virginia, Kevin attended West Virginia University as a theatre major and was heavily involved with the University’s department of Puppetry and Creative Dramatics as a writer, constructor, director and performer. He is the proud owner of an authentic Big Bird feather.

ALIYANA GEWIRTZMAN (SCENIC DESIGNER) is a recent graduate of Pomona College in Los Angeles, where she studied painting, drawing, and wood sculpture. During the summers she works at the Brown Ledge Theatre in Colchester building sets and directing plays. Outside of her art, Aliyana is an avid baker, knitter, and scrabble player.

BRAD “BEAR” INGALLS (LIGHTING DESIGNER) is a professional stagehand and lighting designer who has been involved in technical theatre for over 30 years. Bear considers the theatre to be a major force in his life. He enjoys all of the technical aspects, but his passion is for lighting design, be it for live music, theatre or corporate events.

KATY JOHNSON (SECOND ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is a 7th grader at Camels Hump Middle school. Although this is her first time as a puppeteer, she previously worked with Saints & Poets as house manager for Charlotte’s Web. She also worked on set and running crews for her school’s musicals Night at the Wax Museum, Cinderella and Oliver. In her spare time, Katy likes to read, draw and paint.

PATRICIA JULIEN (MRS. DARLING/NEVER BIRD) is a jazz flutist and the leader of two local groups—a jazz quartet (The Patricia Julien Project) and a fusion band (Fragile Zoe). She composes works for solo voice and piano, mixed-voice choral ensembles, contemporary chamber ensembles, small jazz combos, and big band, and she teaches jazz composition and arranging and music theory at the University of Vermont. Patricia played the part of Martha Arable in Saints & Poets' spring 2011 production of Charlotte's Web, and was a puppeteer for their fall 2011 production of The Pillowman. She does voiceover work with Shadow Productions in Burlington.

JESS WILSON (PRODUCER/STAGE MANAGER) is a founding member of the Saints & Poets Production Company and most recently served as co-producer and stage manager for the company's 2011 production of The Pillowman. Additional work for Saints & Poets includes Charlotte's Web (Director/Co-Producer) and The Rocky Horror (Puppet) Show (Co-Producer/Stage Manger). Other stage management credits include Death Trap, The Importance of Being Earnest, Steel Magnolias, Lend Me a Tenor, Glengarry Glen Ross (Theatre Factory), Much Ado about Nothing (Shelburne Players) and A Streetcar Named Desire (Vermont Stage Company). When not giving time calls, Jess is employed by the CCTV Center for Media and Democracy and most of her work involves directing, shooting and editing documentary-style videos for Vermont non-profits.
